Queen Elizabeth On-Board Photos

A series of photographs taken by the on-board photographers and sold to passengers as souvenir sets.  All photos measure 6¾” x 4½” and are in excellent condition unless otherwise noted.   These are $15 each, or if you purchase the entire set, the cost is $120.

10119  A great night shot of the Elizabeth docked across from the Aquitania in Southampton.

10124  An unusual view of the first-class Winter Garden on Promenade Deck.

10280  The first-class lounge, showing The Canterbury Pilgrims marquetry panel on the forward bulkhead.

10371  A view looking forward along the port-side Boat Deck.  Unlike the Queen Mary whose boat-handling machinery was located above the davits on a raised walkway, that on the Elizabeth was place on the deck under the boats.  Note the expansion joint at the base of the staircase leading up to the entrance of the Verandah Grill.

10385  The first- and second-class theater.  For many years, this was the largest theater ever installed on a liner.

10411  The first-class smoking room on Promenade Deck.  Many of the chairs in this room found their way on board the Mary in the 1960’s and were saved from being destroyed by the fire that ravaged the Elizabeth in Hong Kong.

10413  An outstanding photo showing the massive size of the first-class dining room.

10425  The main lounge in cabin class.  Much of the furniture in this room was inspired by similar designs originally found on the Mary.

10434  Looking forward along the port-side Promenade Deck.
