23911      Hanseatic                                     Deck Plan

Full-color with 12 photos, both interior and exterior.  Dates to the late 1960's.  "Complies with the new safety standards of 1960 and 1966."  Excellent condition. A passenger has written on the plans the names of some of his fellow passengers and the cabins they occupied.  $8.

23110      Stella Solaris                                Deck Plan

Color-coded deck plan for beloved yacht-like liner.  Dates to 1958 and measures 25" x 19".  Surprisingly large cabins for the size of the ship, most of which are outside.  She was one of the first purpose-built cruise liners.  Sadly, she was lost in late 2006 while under tow back to Sweden to begin a new life.  Excellent condition.  $32.

22581      Osaka Shosen Kaisha                 Post Card

Super rendering of a first-class suite on board the Takachiho Maru. Built in 1934, she was renamed Takatiho Maru in 1938.  She was sunk by the submarine Kingfish on March 19, 1943, about 150 miles east of Foochow.  Unused.  $24.

A very nice postal cover to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the s.s. Great Eastern becoming a “showboat” on the River Mersey in Liverpool in 1886.  Excellent condition.  $18.

Superb photo post card of the Lapland.  This is the ship that many of Titanic’s surviving crew returned to England on.  $22.

Not often seen are maiden voyage postal covers for the Oslofjord.  Mailed from Bergen in 1938.  Excellent condition.  $12.

Original press photo with blurb attached at back.  Photo dated July 10, 1958, the day on which the highest number of passengers sailed in a single day since the war.  The ships are listed.  In excellent condition.  Problems with development in the lower right corner that doesn't affect the ships.  Measures 9" x 7".  $38.

Excellent reprint aerial view of the New York piers at the start of World War II with the Ile de France, the Normandie, the Queen Mary, the Aquitania, and the Rex at dock.  Notice that the Queen Mary and the Aquitania are already in their camouflage gray but that you can still see just a bit of the original black and white paint on the Mary’s hull just under the main mast.  Original photo was taken by Fairchild Aerial Surveys, Inc.  10” x 8” in excellent condition.  $18.

Maiden postal cachet for the Gdynia-America Line's Pilsudski of 1935.  Interesting slogan reads: "Where tourist class is Top Class.  To travel Pilsudski is as smart as it is economical."  Excellent condition.  $12.

1653    Post Card                          Landing Stage, Liverpool

Unusual overhead view of the Landing Stage at Liverpool with the stern of a liner just visible off to the right-hand edge of the card.  Card is a bit dirty but overall in good condition.  $5.

Nice photo card taken around the turn of the last century of passengers on a steamship.  Unfortunately, there are no notes or captions to tell what ship it is!  Maybe one of you knows?  Unused, in excellent condition.  $10.

1353    Rendering                         Ship’s Gymnasium

Interesting rendering of a gymnasium on what appears to be an ocean liner.  Not known what ship, but has much of the same equipment as that found on Titanic, Queen Mary, etc.  In very good condition, but upper right corner is missing (see image).  Measures 9” x 6”.  $10.
