33145 Mauretania (1907)
Ashtray Superb pre-WWI silver-plated ashtray with Cunard flag enameled in the center. I have an identical ashtray for White Star in my own collection, and notice that the maker seems to have made one flag (a swallowtail) and used is for whatever company needed souvenirs. Must have been cheaper that way! Very good condition with some marks in the bottom of the bowl from cigarettes. Enameled flag is perfect. Measures 4½" in diameter. Definitely dates to the pre-WWI period. $125. |
|
33006 Mauretania (1907)
Cigarette Card Full-color Wills cigarette card for the Mauretania. This one dates to the pre-WWI period because the back mentions that she will soon be eclipsed by the "White Star liners Olympic and Titanic now building 1911." Excellent condition with some slight bumping to corners. $20. |
|
|
33444 Mauretania (1907)
Cigarette Card Post-war cigarette card by Wills from their "Merchant Ships of the World" series, which I believe was done in 1924. She is still listed as the fastest ship in the world. Very good condition. $10. |

33225 Mauretania (1907)
Deck Plan Superb fold-open color-coded deck plan for her Sea Breeze Vacation Cruises. Very interesting plan because it shows in detail the upgrades and modifications made to her, including the addition of many private baths. Lots of unusual details shown like the location of the cabins for the bank staff. A large, clear interior photo of her verandah cafe and an exterior on the second-class boat deck. I'm going to evoke my standard line here and say that I love cruise plans for her because you get first and second class in one shot. In fact, this one also shows some of the better third-class cabins were used on her cruises. Measures 34" x 33" and is in near-mint condition with just the tiniest of pin holes at some of the folds. You will not be disappointed with this plan! Very late because she is in her white phase. $150. |
|
SOLD! |
23198 Mauretania (1907)
Deck Plan "Supplementary plan of accommodations" showing her second-class areas. Measures 28" x 27" and dating to 1931 for her weekend cruises from New York. Some separation at folds. Includes detailed rate schedule. $75. |

33645 Mauretania (1907)
Handkerchief Colorful linen handkerchief produced about the time of her entry into service showing her compared to various monuments to show her great size. Happily there is no fading and the colors are still vibrant. To be so old, it's in great shape with just a few frays at the corners. Measures over 13" x 12". $125. |
|
13418 Mauretania (1907)
Magic Lantern Slide The sitting and dining room of one of the Regal Suites on board the Mauretania. Unusually, the door leading out of the suite is open, and you can see the corridor beyond. Missing some of the tape around the edge, but otherwise in excellent condition. $25. |

33105 Mauretania (1907)
Post Card Prior to WWI, Cunard and White Star had different philosophies about how to get passengers to London as fast as possible. White Star chose the Southampton route (because it also gave them a continental port), but Cunard chose Fishguard as a first UK stop. This photographic post card shows Mauretania in Fishguard Harbor on one of her earlier visits. This card is so sharp you can read the names on the tenders. A slight dog-ear to a corner and a chipped corner. $45. |

Lots of photos and information not found elsewhere. If you want to know anything about the second Mauretania, it's in here, including complete fold-out profiles and deck plans. 33888 Mauretania (1939)
Deck Plan Another great full-color Cunard plan from the early 1960's. Chockablock with some great glossy color photos, several of which are from Caronia, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth, 31 in all! This is for her Mediterranean service after she was painted green. "Of the 8,000 men and women aboard Cunard ships, the majority are stewards, stewardesses, and other catering personnel. They offer an aggregate of over 50,000 years of experience." For some reason, plans fro her are difficult to come by. One of the last good ones for this beloved ship. She didn't have a lot of time left. Excellent condition. $50. |

28315 Queen Elizabeth 2
Turbine Blade As built, QE2 had Pametrada turbines. We're all aware of the overheating and breaking of blades on her trial cruise. To rectify this, strengthening wires were strung between the blades through tubes. While I'm not a "techie," I suspect that the tube going through this blade is part of that "fix." When she was finally converted from steam to diesel in 1987, her turbines were removed and the blades made into souvenir sculptures by Michael Cox. This piece of blading stands 4¼" tall. It comes with it's original box and a certificate of authenticity. Own a piece of one of the last turbine-driven passenger liners to cross the Atlantic. $185. |
|
28681 Queen Elizabeth 2
Turbine Blade What a conversation piece! This large piece of turbine blading stands 6½" tall and shows the end where the blade attached to the rotor. Very unusual. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. In the gift shop on board QE2, there was an entire turbine blade mounted on a wooden stand. The price was $1,500! This can be yours for $225. |
